Dennis Barrett
As an Army brat I grew up all over but I particularly recall Alaska and Fort Ord, California. I spent the greater part of my working years as an electrician for the City of San Jose. During that time I also volunteered with American Red Cross Disaster Services and Amateur Radio Emergency Services for years, where I met my soon-to-be wife Anne. We were part of the Red Cross response to many natural and man-made disasters both locally and interstate. In 2008 we moved to Magalia and became members of the Paradise Rod & Gun Club. A little later I grew interested in teaching firearms safety and became an assistant instructor for Caleb Chinn at Flying Brass. When Caleb retired Anne & I started Black Oak Training. My aim is to share my own enthusiasm for safe firearms practice and enjoyment.
